Regret
I'm the sum of my bad moments. Not just that, but mostly that. By being permanently under construction, the wrong choices I've done, the dead ends I've reached have become the border markers that help define me.
Some people know exactly where they want to be. I don't. I see regret as the by-product of reaching out and trying to find your place in this world. It's the feeling you get when you recognize that somewhere along the way, you went too far in the wrong direction, and decided to re-adjust your course.
I see regret as heavy on the soul, but fundamental to identity. Embracing it and recognizing its purpose to me ensures I'm not enslaved to it.
